DESTINATION HIGHLIGHTS: Yangon – Homelin – Mawlite – Kalewa – Kalemyo – Monywa – Pakkoku – Bagan

DAY 1 BANGKOK / SINGAPORE – YANGON (Rangoon)
Welcome by local groundf agents on arrival and transfer to hotel. Highlights of sightseeing : the reclining Buddha image ( Chaukhtat Gyi) the Shwedagon pagoda and China town market. Overnight in Rangoon.

DAY 2 YANGON – MANDALAY – HOMELIN BY PLANE
Arrive at Homelin and transfer to the Guest house. Visit the Naga village and foreshore of Homelin. Overnight at Guest house.

DAY 3 HOMELIN
Morning excursion by boat to Maungkham village and afternoon visit to the Shan village of Ketthar. Overnight at Guest house in Homelin.

DAY 4 HOMELIN – MAWLITE BY BOAT
Leave Homelin in the morning and continue the journey by boat along the beautiful Chindwin river, passing near the village of Sittaung, famous for the strategic route where the Wingate army crossed the rough terrain and the wide Chindwin river in February 1943.
Arrive at Mawlite in the evening.

DAY 5 MAWLITE
Morning excursion to Kindat village where King Alaung Paya encamped his army before launching the final assault in Assam during the 18th century. Afternoon visit in town, the seat of British administration in the region. The colonial style buildings can be seen in the town. Overnight in Mawlite.

DAY 6 MAWLITE – KALEWA BY BOAT
The journey by boat on this sector will offer you the beautiful scenery on both sides of the Chindwin river. Arrive Kalewa in the afternoon and visit in town. Overight in Kalewa.

DAY 7 KALEWA
Visit the morning market in Kalewa and proceed to Kalemyo on the road of retreat used by the British government at the advance of the occupying Japanese forces during the second World War in 1942. Overnight in Kalewa.

DAY 8 KALEWA – MONYWA BY BOAT
The whole day journey by boat while taking pictures of the people's life and scenic beauty of the river. Arrive at Monywa in the evening and transfer to Monywa hotel. Overnight in Monywa.

DAY 9 MONYWA – PAKKOKU BY CAR / COACH AND PROCEED TO BAGAN BY BOAT
Morning excursion to the volcanic lake of Twindaung to study the production of spirulina algae from the lake. Proceed to Pakkoku and Bagan in the afternoon. Transfer to hotel in Bagan.

DAY 10 BAGAN EXTRA DAY WITH SIGHTSEEING
The whole day sightseeing is a mixture of Buddhist art culture and way of life and handicraft. Highlights of the visit Shwezigone pagoda, Nyaung U Market, Htilo minlo temple, Ananda temple, Myinkabar village, Gubyaukgyi temple, lacquer ware production, Shwesandaw pagoda and finally visit to Bu paya pagoda synchronizing with sunset. Overnight in Bagan.

DAY 11 BAGAN EXTRA DAY AT LEISURE
The extra day is at your disposition to explore the temples and pagodas or the villages of your choice on your own arrangement for transportation ( bicycle, horse cart are easily available ).

DAY 12 BAGAN – YANGON BY FLIGHT
Depending on the flight schedule, sightseeing will be provided in the morning in Bagan and on your arrival in Rangoon.

DAY 13 YANGON – BANGKOK / SINGAPORE
Highlights of morning sightseeing depending on your flight schedule: the port, vegetables and food stuff depot of Thiri Mingala, monastic life of the Buddhist nuns at Daw Nyana Sari convent. Transfer to airport for departure. End of tour.
