Ms.
Khaing Tun (Khine)
Born August 9, 1965
in Rangoon, Burma, Khine has always been interested in WWII history,
airplanes and travel, a great influence that she had received from her
father who was a C-47 pilot from the Burmese Air Force (RAF).
She left Burma at an early age to work in Europe and Japan for a major
Japanese Travel Company. She returned to Southeast Asia in 1995 and
worked in Burma & Thailand for a few Western managed travel companies
and left again 4 years later to move to the United States.
Her interest in WWII history became more significant in the later part
of 2002 from a short conversation she had with a Veteran who was in
Burma during WWII.
She decided to work on her own in promoting Burma from a historical
angle as she also spent time doing research on CBI Theater and Burma
Campaign.
Khine’s focus
remains in promoting WWII related travel programs in the CBI Theater
while assisting inquiries related to MIA Aircraft Expeditions. She speaks
fluent Burmese, English, French, Spanish and Japanese.
