Sergeant James Fletcher of Atlanta, in the left, foreground, and Private Johan Davenport Jr., of Goldsville, S.C., lead a strange heterogeneous and highly efficient group of Kachin scouts in Northern Burma down a jungle stream in search of Japs. The hardy jungle-wise Kachin natives guide our regular troops over bewildering trails, locating objectives and spying on the enemy.
